Turning a Shutter into a Shelf

A friend of mine gave me a fabulous set of shutters, and I re-purposed them into some shabby shelves! I bought scrolling brackets, attached them to the shutter, and voila!

Here it is hanging over the daybed that we built:

Obviously, I need to decorate it.

Total cost: Shutter - free
Brackets - < $10

  2. Love it Caroline! Your projects this week have been right up my alley. I have been looking for the perfect plates to do our kids' silouettes and I also have a set of shutters laying around not knowing what I was going to do with them. I love this! Thanks, girl!
