Birth Control

So, this might be too much information, but this seems to be a common issue for discussion...

Birth Control and Procreating

I try to live my life mostly according to natural instinct, because most of the time- its right. If we look at nature, we often get a healthier model of how to live life. However, when we interfere with the natural process, it oftentimes reeks havoc on our society, and on ourselves. Frequently throughout history, man has thought that he knew better than mother nature. Take breast feeding and the creation of formula- now, the research shows, breast feeding is best. But for years, people formula fed because they thought it was healthier- that man could create a formula healthier than mother nature. Now we see, breast feeding builds strong immunities, prevents allergies, and even prevents breast cancer in the mother. It helps the mother return to her natural size, amongst other things...

There are numerous examples of the natural order trumping mankind's ideas...

But, what about birth control?

I am so tired of worrying about it. And I have a good twenty or thirty years more to worry about.

Why is it that if we did nothing to prevent it, we would have a ridiculous number of children? Even if I wanted to go through pregnancy and childbirth 20 times, even if I didn't want to pursue any type of career, we can't afford to have an exponential amount of children.

So why are we made that way? Why do we have to work so hard to prevent the natural from occurring?

Like I said, I don't want 15 kids. But I'm really stumped by this whole birth control thing. I don't get it. WHY were we created this way if its not feasible to live this way?

I want homegrown tomatoes, but not twenty kids to feed...

This is the single most upsetting thing about my body, I think.

Agreed, Sheena!

Yes, Deborah! I've been meaning to buy it but haven't gotten around to it. Though, it's David who really needs to read it. LOL.
