As I mentioned in this post, we are using the Fertility Awareness Method to keep baby-making on it's much needed sabbatical (or retirement?). I have to admit, I was a little nervous at first. I probably drove my poor sister-in-law crazy with over-analyzing my charts. I freaked out and thought that I wasn't ovulating (I am), worried that I messed up a few temperatures (they were fine), had sex at the wrong time (nope), misunderstood a rule or two...
But I'm not pregnant! It was just me being obsessive, anxious and overly-analytical. Fertility Awareness Method was a success this month! *Smile and sigh* And I have learned so much about my body. Like..
I ovulated on Day 21. I slept better during the Luteal phase. I get crampy during the Estrogen phase...and so many other things that you probably just don't want to know.
BUT, I am SO excited to say that my sister-in-law, Deborah, is pregnant with her first child and due in November! Seriously, this baby can't get here soon enough. I am so happy to have a newborn in the family to hold! And, just for the record, I think it's going to be a boy (though, I'm pretty sure the entire family is secretly wishing for a girl, since we are lacking in that department. And I wouldn't be the least bit disappointed to have an excuse to buy all of the adorable girl clothes that I wish I could dress Dmitri in!) Being an aunt is the best thing in the world!
Congratulations Neal & Deborah!

awww! Grats to ur sister in law! how exciting! I have mentioned your post to my best friend who has wondered about doing this and is worried that her body is all out of whack and what not! Im glad that it has worked for u this month! I hope it continues to work!
I finally got TCOYF, too! I'm loving what I'm learning, and excited to see how my charts look each cycle. Congratulations twofold: first for getting to be an aunt, and second for having a successful first cycle of charting :)
New follower, loved your SYTYCD project! I have a few old windows in the attic that I've been wanting to do something with and I am bookmarking your post.
Anywho, congrats to your SIL and congrats to you! I'm currently pregnant, but have studied the sympto-thermal method and fully support fertility awareness! So glad to hear from another person who is practicing it as well.
