Living Room: New Rug

Rugs have been a challenge for us. We want a high quality rug [100% wool, please] that is going to wear well with pets & a baby, but we don't want to pay the outrageous prices [we could blow a year's salary just on area rugs...what's up with that?]. I've considered making my own, but worried it wouldn't be very easy on Dmitri's knees, since he is still crawling around like crazy, nor helpful to cushion falls as he learns to walk. 

So we have been at a loss...and have been holding off on rugs.

Until we found this one...

I can do that. I was a little nervous about not seeing it in person. But, I couldn't resist the price. So we ordered it on Saturday, and the UPS truck delivered it this morning!
And here it is...

I can't wait to get our sofas in order. I moved the other one that we have away, so you can see the rug. It won't actually be like that.

The blues in the rug look like it was custom matched to our wall-color. Seriously. How lucky is that.

    THAT IS UNNNNNNBELIEVABLE! Your room looks spectacular and that rug is to die for! It couldn't have been anymore perfect. So vibrant and gorgeous! I went rug shopping a month ago and couldn't believe how expensive rugs are now...that was such a steal!!! CONGRATS!!!!!

    Oh man, Anthropologie at an Overstock price! What an impact it makes and it fits the room perfectly! I can't wait to see what you do next in this room because I think if Domino were still around this room would be in it!
