I was busy enjoying visiting, so of course I didn't get as many photos as I would have liked (and not before the food was eaten...but I'm glad everyone liked it!) Here are some snapshots of the event:
My summery fireplace
Oregano, Thyme, & Chives
A simple bunting
A ribbon mobile constructed out of a wire coat hanger and ribbon on hand; hanging above the food table
Cupcakes
Coconut "grass" & jelly bean eggs: cupcakes
Mini Bunting
Potted herbs as decorations and Damon's birth announcement
Italian lemonade
Simple blue & green bottles as a centerpiece
Simple, fun, and truly a wonderful time celebrating such a precious gift to our family.

Caroline! That looks amazing! I can't believe you put that all together with 2 little ones to look after! You are a super mom! I love the whole thing! Especially the glass bottles on the table!
Your place looked super, and I know little Damon got lots of attention and lovin! Great idea!
What a wonderful party! I love all your decor and your fireplace is beautiful! I hope that he had a good time and I am sure that he got lots of lovin, hugs and kisses!! :)
That is so lovely!
My favorite part is how the mirror above the beautiful fireplace reflects the chandelier. Your decorating style is impeccable.
i love the bunting on the picture frames - that is so very cute! :)
What a sweet idea I love all the herbs and the photos.
it's all so pretty! i can't believe you had the time and energy to pull it all together. very inspiring!
What a cute & original idea to have a Welcome party!! If we weren't a military family so far from both of our families I'd love to do the same thing with our next baby =) The simple decor looked simple, yet gorgeous! You did an amazing job...you proved to yourself it's still possible to do things you'd do with one kid, with two of them!
Super cute, and, um- how on earth do you make things look so amazing with a newborn, a toddler and all your other responsibilities? You're a fabulous lady :)
Ok, I have to ask how the party went for the little guy? Was he awake enough? Did the guest get to "see" him enough? Was he cranky after? I would LOVE to throw a party when I have mine, but I'm just scared it would end in disaster (I have pets too...) How do you make things look so easy???
i love the use of simple buntings to dress up a space. beautiful!
Such a sweet welcome for Damon. Everything looked great - and I'm amazed you got that all done with the babes underfoot!
seriously, you are amazing!
What a pretty party! Congrats on your new addition! I look forward to reading more of your blog.
Wow, what a fun idea! I love all the simple decor. And those cupcakes looked so yummy and spring-like!
