Change [my mind]: Nursery Curtains

Curtains were one of the first things that I tackled in the nursery, other than paint. I picked them out, hung them up, liked them decently well, only to grow tired of them and realize that they really were not doing much for the room. You may remember them:
Blah. Blah. Blah.

However, they were pretty expensive. So, I listed those things on eBay (hoping to at least re-coop some of the money to invest in something else.). Not only did I sell them, I even made a profit. Which were not my intentions at all, but that's hardly something to complain about! And I bought these:

They have every color that I'm using in the nursery: yellow, orange, red, and grey!

They add a little more color to the room, and I'm liking that a lot better! I plan to line them with blackout lining to help reduce noise and light for nap times, and to make the pattern more visible. But since neither of the little ones are sleeping in there currently, it's not too high on the priority list. I'd really like to finish up the nursery/playroom considering that we now have TWO kiddos...slowly but surely.

The curtains are from here: Urban Outfitters: Tree of Life Curtains

Cute!! I love your decor style :) I'm on the hunt for some perdy curtain myself, but first I have to convince my boyfriend that curtains will work on our wonky windows. Might take awhile ;)

Oh, I love these new curtains so much more!! They're a lot more 'fun' and interesting for a kids room. Great find!

I liked the original curtains, but these are much more fun and a little more whimsical for the nursery. And that's so awesome that they incorporate all the colors you're using!

I feel like I change my mind more than most people or maybe I just like to change things frequently. I settled for gold velvet curtains for my dining room when I couldn't find the fun patterned curtain that I wanted. 6 months later, Target got new curtains in with a great pattern in the same teal color as my dining room. I couldn't say "no". I knew how perfect they would be and it didn't matter that I didn't need new curtains, these curtains would be the exact thing my dining room needed to take it to the next level! So, I bought them and gave the old curtains to my mom(who admired them each time she came to my house)to ease the guilt.

I the originals in my living room and like them a lot. The new ones in your nursery? I LOVE. Love. I was wondering what you were gonna do about the light situation. My wee girl needs a really dark room to sleep well (and longer!) so the blackout sounds like a smart plan. Nice score.

Well done for making profit on the curtains!!! Ebay can sometimes be so hit and miss.

I really like the new ones. They look so fun!
