I Like My Coffee Tables with Cream, Please: Before & After

I think almost everything looks better after a coat of white paint. And very few things can escape my paintbrush. I found my most recent victim project, when I visited my mom. She had this gorgeous coffee table in her living room. I felt that it was a little dark and overwhelming, so I offered to lighten it up, giving it a sophisticated look without being too heavy.

With my mom's permission, of course, I convinced David to help me out, and he primed and painted it for us. I had planned to glaze it, but we ran out of time. This is what it looked like when I left:



I love the detail on the legs.

So that was our quick switch, that really lightened up the coffee table and added a completely different feel and style to the living room. Now, if I could just conquer some of my own painting projects...

I agree pretty much anything can look good with some white paint. The contrast between the white table and tabletop makes it look great.
