I think almost everything looks better after a coat of white paint. And very few things can escape my paintbrush. I found my most recent
victim project, when I visited my mom. She had this gorgeous coffee table in her living room. I felt that it was a little dark and overwhelming, so I offered to lighten it up, giving it a sophisticated look without being too heavy.

With my mom's permission, of course, I convinced David to help me out, and he primed and painted it for us. I had planned to glaze it, but we ran out of time. This is what it looked like when I left:
I love the detail on the legs.
So that was our quick switch, that really lightened up the coffee table and added a completely different feel and style to the living room. Now, if I could just conquer some of my own painting projects...

I agree pretty much anything can look good with some white paint. The contrast between the white table and tabletop makes it look great.
How fantastic! Put your feet up.
Oh what an awesome transformation!! It looks great and what a wonderful job you did on it!!
I love it. It looks so dramatic with the white.
Such a pretty table! And it looks even better lightened up!
