Dmitri started his first day back to school this morning! I cannot believe it is already here. We were both excited about it. At the beginning of the summer, I was a little worried about being a full-time parent all season long. David had a busy schedule lined up, and it is incredibly hot here in Georgia. But as it is drawing to a close, while I am excited to have some time with just Damon, I'm feeling a little nostalgic about the fun that the three of us have had together. Here are my favorite activities to do with my littles this summer, which I am pretty sure have been their favorite things too.
1. Playing in blow-up swimming pool + mama knitting.
2. Crayons and markers + a giant roll of paper
Some of the crayons get eaten.
I sewed this crayon holder - great for traveling!
3. Dominoes!
4. Playing with hats
5. Watercolors
6. Roads made out of Washi Tape
7. Trains
8. Making Lemonade - my kids go nuts over this. Lemon juice + stevia + water
9. "Special Treats" as Dmitri calls them. When the day is especially long or hard, we get a cupcake or donut. It turns the day around pretty quickly.
10. Dance Party to the Elizabeth Mitchell Station on Pandora.
11. JUMPING on our trampoline. We do this at least three times a day.
It's been a fun summer. It's been a new challenge to be a full-time parent with no school for me or Dmitri, and David working (more than) full-time, but we made the most of it. What are your favorite summer activities?
