Yarn Along: January 30th

This week has been my week of baby hats. Once I knitted my first (hooray for New Year's Resolutions), I just could not stop! It's fast and fun, and a perfectly validating knitting project. And I love meditating on the little one that is growing as I knit. ("The baby is growing bigger and bigger!"- Dmitri giddily proclaims every time he sees my belly).

My very first hat....

It still needs a pom pom.

Dmitri's Waldorf Doll got a new dress and a little hat this week (he has been upset that it is naked.)

 Another hat for baby...in case it's boy # 3.

I am in between books right now - I read "The Bean Trees" by Barbara Kingsolver at the beginning of January (and I highly recommend it. A very engaging and touching read.) Next up on my list are "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen and "Cat's Eye" by Margaret Atwood. I just need to decide which to read first!

I'm joining in the Yarn Along- and hope to make it a regular occurrence. How perfect, since two of my goals this year involve knitting & reading!
