The Mystery Illness

I have been very sick since last Wednesday; and it's still a mystery what it is. I spent three hours yesterday at the doctor having tests run. I have had severe nausea, dizziness, profuse sweating, and fatigue. The doctor had a long list of possibilities....UTI, my pancreas, my gallbladder, a virus, Diabetes, Hepatitis, Thyroid dysfunction, mastitis, and of course, pregnancy.

We seem to have ruled all of those out. I kind of feel like a mutant guinea pig with some unexplainable disease. I am starting to feel a little bit better today, which is the first day in seven that I have seen any improvement. Hopefully I will continue to improve and no more testing will be needed...If you would like to pretend you are "House" and make a diagnoses, by all means, humor me. ; )

I have been pretty useless, and have spent a lot of my time on the sofa watching TV. Dmitri has gotten two new teeth, and is not very happy about  it. Needless to say, our house has been pretty pitiful lately.

Hopefully this week will be better...and I will have more exciting projects to share.

I'm sorry you're ill. I've been sick since last Monday too. I finally got diagnosed with pneumonia. I have an autoimmune disease too, so sometimes it's hard to tell what's going on with me. I hope you get well soon. It's hard when the mom's sick, but the hubs has been running my house beautifully for almost a week now. Get Well!

Yikes! I hope they figure out what it is/was and that you can recover quickly!

Do you breastfeed? Maybe its mastitis? I had it a few months ago & had similar symptoms.

Sometimes when my inner ear acts up all of those things happen to me. It's an awful feeling. Hope you feel 100% better soon!

I would say thyroid is a contender as well as adrenal fatigue. Most drs wont even test this and those that do don't test it correctly. See list of symptoms here:

I had this and finally was treated but had to look VERY hard for a good Dr. my symtpoms were dizziness, fatigue and nausea as well.

That sounds awful. Not only being sick, but being SO sick that you need to have testing done, and nobody knows what it is? Hang in there girlie :(

Aw - hope you get to feeling better or that they figure out what is "wrong" with you. Maybe it is just sympathy paints for Dmitri teething??

Sorry to hear you haven't been well. Praying that you get all your strength back super soon. Isn't it funny that no matter what ailments we feel as women "pregnancy" will always be one of the possibilities?! I must confess it was the first thing I thought when I read your post :) Get well soon.

With all the work you have been doing, could you have been bitten by something? Spider or a tick? Do you have a rash or redness anywhere? Hope you feel better!!
