I am just loving the newly painted legs of our sofa...which has been a dormant project since November: I didn't think twice about covering up the wood with some white paint for a more shabby chic look.
I'm hoping that I can ride that love out and keep working on the re-upholstery job. Next step: fabric!
Oooo, nice legs. I like it painted - it looks fresh and pretty and the white actually makes the detail pop a bit more. Good choice. Looking forward to seeing your fabric choices.
I can't wait to seeit finished. What are you envisioning for fabric? It it were mine, I'd do a modern graphic print to contrast with the vintage style of the sofa. Good luck with it!
I have a similar couch that needs to be re-upholstered but I don't want to pay someone because I know it will be very expensive. Looking forward to seeing the final project!

I'm awful at upholstery, but the one tip I do have is to take photos of EVERYTHING as you remove it.
